Roads Are Beautiful

difference it doesnt make defiantly blaring and dancing it to in the home family and brother comes into my room thinking it sounded
rocking and asking what is that song and me saying oh what difference does it make and he angrily saying just tell the name of it and
stop being so smart my hatred of the singer now and how this song was the greatest thing ever i shall now do an exposé on my blog of my

interpretation of his lyrics as a closeted teenager in 1990 and shook that fit of waiting to retire to enjoy life for i will be too unable
too physically unfit to enjoy it all and jesus h christ guys who try too hard to pleasure me instead of going slow and gentle and what is
it with guys who lie about the size of their cock on their profiles in general i hate people so if you are a person please think thrice before reading what i just said and cerebrum as well as in the medulla oblongata lurches of basement improvisation meant as a panacea for the relatively

Pitchfork Does It Again - Hilarious

If you can make an album that is the aural equivalent of watching paint dry then Pitchfork will give you a score of 7.5 out of ten.

"The angle of the sun changes, and with it the quality of the light. It's actually that last bit that is closest to the experience Dunn provides on his best extended works. If you were to watch the same spot on the ground all day, its appearance would vary greatly over time, but not in such a way that you'd register the changes as distinct moments when something was suddenly different."

"It may seem as though I'm comparing listening to his music to watching paint dry (and to some people, that's probably what the glacially shifting 17-minute drone "Butel" will seem like), but it really is interesting, involving music for fans of ambient drone."

The conclusion to be drawn from this is that to this reviewer - watching paint dry is interesting and involving.
I must run out and buy this album.
On second thoughts, I will put my ears beside my fridge for an hour.

You are never in love with anyone - Anthony De Mello

"You are never in love with anyone. You're only in love with your prejudiced and hopeful idea of that person. Take a minute to think about that:
You are never in love with anyone, you're in love with your prejudiced idea of that person.
Isn't that how you fall out of love? Your idea changes, doesn't it?
"How could you let me down when I trusted you so much?" you say to someone.
Did you really trust them?
You never trusted anyone.
You only trust your judgment about that person.
So what are you complaining about?
The fact is that you don't like to say, "My judgment was lousy."
That's not very flattering to you, is it?
So you prefer to say, "How could you have let me down?"

Losing My Edge by LCD Soundsystem

To all of those people I have met who are full of bullshit and never did a creative thing.
You exaggerate and take over conversations and have a know-it-all opinion on everything.
Well, guess what? You are unaware of your unawareness.
Thanks.

Yeah, I'm losing my edge.
I'm losing my edge.
The kids are coming up from behind.
I'm losing my edge.
I'm losing my edge to the kids from France and from London.
But I was there.

I was there in 1968.
I was there at the first Can show in Cologne.
I'm losing my edge.
I'm losing my edge to the kids whose footsteps I hear when they get on the decks.
I'm losing my edge to the Internet seekers who can tell me every member of every good group from 1962 to 1978.
I'm losing my edge.

To all the kids in Tokyo and Berlin.
I'm losing my edge to the art-school Brooklynites in little jackets and borrowed nostalgia for the unremembered eighties.

But I'm losing my edge.
I'm losing my edge, but I was there.
I was there.
But I was there.

I'm losing my edge.
I'm losing my edge.
I can hear the footsteps every night on the decks.
But I was there.
I was there in 1974 at the first Suicide practices in a loft in New York City.
I was working on the organ sounds with much patience.
I was there when Captain Beefheart started up his first band.
I told him, "Don't do it that way. You'll never make a dime."
I was there.
I was the first guy playing Daft Punk to the rock kids.
I played it at CBGB's.
Everybody thought I was crazy.
We all know.
I was there.
I was there.
I've never been wrong.

I used to work in the record store.
I had everything before anyone.
I was there in the Paradise Garage DJ booth with Larry Levan.
I was there in Jamaica during the great sound clashes.
I woke up naked on the beach in Ibiza in 1988.

But I'm losing my edge to better-looking people with better ideas and more talent.
And they're actually really, really nice.

I'm losing my edge.

I heard you have a compilation of every good song ever done by anybody. Every great song by the Beach Boys. All the underground hits. All the Modern Lovers tracks. I heard you have a vinyl of every Niagra record on German import. I heard that you have a white label of every seminal Detroit techno hit - 1985, '86, '87. I heard that you have a CD compilation of every good '60s cut and another box set from the '70s.

I hear you're buying a synthesizer and an arpeggiator and are throwing your computer out the window because you want to make something real. You want to make a Yaz record.

I hear that you and your band have sold your guitars and bought turntables.
I hear that you and your band have sold your turntables and bought guitars.

I hear everybody that you know is more relevant than everybody that I know.

But have you seen my records? This Heat, Pere Ubu, Outsiders, Nation of Ulysses, Mars, The Trojans, The Black Dice, Todd Terry, the Germs, Section 25, Althea and Donna, Sexual Harrassment, a-ha, Pere Ubu, Dorothy Ashby, PIL, the Fania All-Stars, the Bar-Kays, the Human League, the Normal, Lou Reed, Scott Walker, Monks, Niagra,

Joy Division, Lower 48, the Association, Sun Ra,
